Planner/Buyer Position-
Location: Spokane WA
Responsibilities Include:
- Creating and releasing Production Jobs and/or Purchase Orders using ERP systems (e.g., Syteline) based on demand, inventory goals, and planning parameters
- Generating capacity feasible production schedules and monitoring/reporting on Manufacturing attainment to the production schedule, expediting as required.
- Creating and releasing purchase orders for selected materials from approved suppliers at pre-determined/approved prices and monitoring/reporting on Suppliers’ OTD and Quality, expediting as required.
- Performing site-specific purchasing (sourcing/negotiation) activities – mostly to do with facility related services (e.g. cleaning, trash, etc.).
- Manage MRP data and ensure optimization of output – continually improve planning methods and practices to meet inventory, production efficiency and on-time delivery goals.
- Assessing the impact of engineering change orders and execute changes as required.
- Resolving inventory transaction issues and auditing/correcting production jobs – working with internal teams and supporting process improvements to prevent reoccurrences.
- Assist with special projects (i.e. new product/customer ramp-up plans, efficiency improvements, etc.).
- Communicating across departments to meet customer delivery goals and internal planning needs
- Providing timely updates to management on planning, scheduling, and purchasing activities

Qualifications:
- 4-year degree (business, engineering or accounting) preferred, but not required.
- 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; sheet metal or assembly experience preferred
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and basic inventory practices (Syteline/CSI a plus)
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, intermediate knowledge of Excel required.
- Understanding of BOMs, routings, and multi-level manufacturing flow
- Experience with Purchasing and managing suppliers
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated analytical ability
- Ability to organize and manage multiple changing priorities while meeting deadline
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
