Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:
As our Planner I extraordinaire, your job is to unleash your superhuman abilities to drive efficient, on-time production by creating smart schedules, coordinating materials, and keeping operations running smoothly from start to finish. You'll work alongside some of the sharpest minds in the RF and microwave industry. Oh, and did we mention that you'll be based in the heart of Austin, Texas, where the tech scene is as hot as our BBQ?
Here's What You'll Be Doing:
· Review orders, and review and edit build documentation to ensure a successful product build.
· Create/maintain work orders and purchase requisitions in ERP (Global Shop); use dashboards for daily visibility.
· Build short- and medium-term schedules, prioritize jobs by due date and revenue, and reallocate material/capacity as constraints emerge.
· Track lead times (internal machining, PCBA/test, suppliers), verify PO due dates, and drive expedites with Purchasing and the Stockroom
· Ensure that kits are ready to build, and that Assembly has appropriate schedule for successful job build completion.
· Serve as an escalation point for late work orders and kit priorities; route issues through PMs when decisions are required
Requirements
What We're Looking for in Our Planner I:
· Hands-on experience with ERP production modules (e.g., Global Shop) and Excel-based scheduling/shortage tracking.
· Proven ability to communicate across Programs, Engineering, Purchasing, Stockroom, Production, and Sales; crisp written email updates.
· Data-checking mindset (manual verification of PO dates, inventory availability); ability to improve router accuracy from actuals.
Skills & Qualifications You Need:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; 2–3 years of experience in production, materials, or planning support roles preferred.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a high level of persistence. You've got skills in written and verbal communication.
· You're self-motivated, a multitasking wizard, and detail-oriented like a hawk.
· Prioritization is your middle name, and you thrive in high-pressure situations.
· You play well with others and are a logical thinker, always ready to tackle customer challenges.
· Ethical standards? You've got them in spades.
