Job Overview:

Ohio-based mechanical and piping contractor doing field construction for petroleum, natural gas, and fuel-system projects. This is heavy mechanical work with a civil and earthwork component: digging, grading, and getting to grade. No electrical work. This is a traveling field role. You are on site Monday through Thursday and home Friday through Sunday, on the road about 80% of the time.

What you will do:

  • Run piping and steel fabrication crews on active field construction sites
  • Own schedule, quality, and safety for pipe fabrication and installation
  • Work from isometrics and blueprints and follow civil and mechanical details
  • Coordinate with project management and client site teams

Required:

  • Supervised a piping or fabrication crew (superintendent, general foreman, foreman, or lead)
  • High-level hands-on piping background: refinery, tank farm, bulk petroleum, pipeline, gathering system, compressor station, chemical plant, or cryogenic plant work
  • Code process piping: ASME B31.1 / B31.3, pipe spools, isometrics, radiographed welds, flange and bolt-up
  • Strong math and mechanical proficiency
  • Willing to travel and work away Monday through Thursday
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test, including THC
  • No felony conviction in the last 10 years

Preferred:

  • Pipefitter by trade who moved up into supervision
  • Civil and earthwork experience
  • Fuel-system project experience

Schedule: Four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, on site. Home Friday through Sunday. Expect to be on the road about 80% of the time.

Pay: $46 to $51 per hour.
