Single-Hand Field Welder

Location: Front Range, Colorado

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00+/hour DOE

Schedule: Day Shift Primarily | Overtime Required | 50-60 Hours Weekly

We are seeking experienced Single-Hand Field Welders to join our growing team performing water pipeline construction and fabrication projects throughout Colorado's Front Range. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled welder who enjoys field work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and can work independently in a variety of jobsite environments.

This position offers consistent overtime, competitive pay, company-provided equipment, and the opportunity to work on large-diameter water transmission pipeline projects.

What You'll Do

• Perform field welding on water pipeline construction projects.

• Weld large-diameter pipe systems, including internal welds on 36" diameter pipe and larger.

• Complete pipe fabrication and structural welding as required.

• Read and interpret weld procedures, blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.

• Work independently at remote job locations when necessary.

• Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting production schedules.

• Follow all company safety policies and project-specific requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience.

• Experience welding pipe and pipe fittings using SMAW and FCAW processes.

• Experience with downhill pipe welding.

• Structural steel welding experience.

• Strong understanding of weld specifications and welding symbols.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Safety-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• TIG welding experience (higher pay potential).

• Stainless steel welding experience.

• Aluminum welding experience.

• Water pipeline construction experience.

Welding Tests Required

Pipe Test

• 6G Position

• 6" Schedule 80 Pipe

• 6010 Downhill Root and Hot Pass

• 7018 Uphill Fill and Cap

Plate Test

• 3G and 4G Positions

• Dual Shield Flux Core Wire

• Backing Bar Required

TIG Test (If Applicable)

• 2" Schedule 40 Pipe

• 6G Position

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (MVR).

• Ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Front Range of Colorado.

• Successful completion of:

  • Background check

  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (including THC)

  • Ongoing random drug testing

• Eligible to work in the United States.

• Willingness to work 50-60 hours per week.

• Must be available for overtime, weekend work, early mornings, and occasional night shifts.

• Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to changing work locations.

Compensation

$30.00-$37.00+/hour DOE

Additional compensation may be available for candidates with advanced TIG welding, stainless steel, aluminum, and water pipeline experience.
