Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in sanitary tubing fit-up and TIG welding to support new equipment installations and tankfarm connections in a process manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity and efficiency of oil transfer systems and high-pressure lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fit and TIG weld stainless steel sanitary tubing.
• Weld schedule 40 stainless steel pipe (4” diameter) for high-pressure air and chiller lines.
• Set up and operate TIG welders independently, including determining rod and cup sizes, amperage, and heat settings.
• Weld fittings, ferrules, and connectors to tubing and pipe—no tube-to-tube or pipe-to-pipe welds.
• Work from verbal instructions only—no diagrams, prints, or weld parameters provided.
• Collaborate with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently and visualize routing and fit-up requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sanitary tube welding and fitting in a process manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in TIG welding with foot pedal and alternative controls (thumb/wheel/finger).
• Strong understanding of purge techniques and welding setup.
• Comfortable working at heights and in dynamic installation environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and visualization skills.
• Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.
