Pipefitter

Pay: $25/hour

Location: Keithville, LA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter with a strong background in structural fitting, millwright, or boilermaker work. This position is responsible for reading blueprints, laying out and fitting components, and ensuring proper alignment and fit-up of structural and piping assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience using fabrication and fitting tools.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine layout and assembly requirements.
• Lay out, position, and assemble components to ensure proper fit-up and alignment.
• Use bull pins, turnbuckles, pry bars, hammers, L-lugs, steel wedges, grinders, and other fitting tools.
• Measure and verify components to ensure proper dimensions, alignment, and fit.
• Perform welding and assist with welding-related tasks as needed.
• Inspect fit-up and make necessary adjustments to ensure components are properly aligned before welding or final assembly.
• Safely handle and position heavy materials and structural components.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform other fitting, fabrication, and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a pipefitter, structural fitter, millwright, or boilermaker is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is required.
• Previous fit-up and structural assembly experience is required.
• Welding experience is required.
• Proficiency using hand and power tools commonly used in fitting and fabrication.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to accurately measure, align, and fit components.
• Ability to safely work with heavy materials and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment and perform physically demanding tasks.
