Core Responsibillities

• Pipe Fabrication: Assemble, fits, and join metal pipes (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel) that carry water,fuel and gases.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to plan work sequence.
• Weld execution: Use processes like GMAW, SMAW, GTAW,and FCAW in all positions, including overhead and mirror welding.

Quality Control: Inspects finished welds for defects and ensure they meet marine codes and safety standards.

Ability to pass hands on performance qualification tests, often including 6G pipe test.

Comfortable working in confined spaces,at elevated heights and aboard ships in changing weather.

Must have shipyard experience.
