Production Pipe Welder (MIG) – Fire Protection Fabrication
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Fulltime | Monday–Friday | Overtime Available
Compensation: $22-$35 + Overtime
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Production Pipe Welder to join our growing fabrication team. This is a shop-based position with no field installation or travel required. You'll fabricate carbon steel pipe assemblies used in commercial fire protection systems, working from fabrication drawings in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel pipe ranging from ¼" to 12" diameter
- Review fabrication drawings and work instructions before beginning work
- Verify material type, size, and identification prior to fabrication
- Confirm all required fittings and components are available
- Prepare pipe and fittings for proper fit-up and welding
- Produce quality welds that meet company standards and specifications
- Maintain dimensional accuracy throughout the fabrication process
- Minimize distortion using proper welding techniques
- Inspect equipment before each use and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Production Welder, Pipe Welder, Shop Welder, or Fabrication Welder
- Strong MIG welding experience required
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Welding Certification (preferred, not required)
- Pipe fitting or fabrication experience
- Experience welding carbon steel pipe
- Experience operating overhead cranes or forklifts is a plus
