Electrical PVC Pipe Layer / Conduit Installer

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and lay PVC conduit for underground electrical and utility systems.
• Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and conduit installation layouts.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install PVC conduit according to project specifications.
• Prepare trenches and conduit pathways to ensure proper depth, grade, and alignment.
• Install PVC conduit, elbows, couplings, fittings, and related electrical raceway components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, conduit cutters, and other equipment to complete installations.
• Glue and secure PVC conduit connections using approved materials and installation methods.
• Assist electricians with pulling wire and cable through installed conduit.
• Install conduit crossings, stub-ups, sweeps, and underground transitions.
• Verify conduit placement, alignment, depth, and separation requirements.
• Assist with excavation, backfilling, compaction, and restoration of work areas.
• Work safely around excavators, trenching equipment, and other heavy construction equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
• Perform general construction and electrical-support duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience installing PVC electrical conduit or underground electrical utilities preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical conduit installation practices.
• Ability to read basic construction plans and measurements.
• Familiarity with PVC conduit, fittings, sweeps, couplings, and solvent cement.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in trenches and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting conduit and materials and performing manual labor.
• OSHA 10 or construction safety experience is a plus.
• Electrical, utility, or construction experience preferred.
