This is a hands on manufacturing position supporting the production of biological products at our Lincoln, Nebraska manufacturing site. Previous laboratory experience is not required. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, equipment operation, warehouse operations, mechanical environments, or other hands on settings are encouraged to apply.
In this role, you will learn the fermentation processes used to manufacture active biological ingredients. Training will be provided on microbiological techniques, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production documentation, and specialized fermentation equipment.
We are looking for dependable individuals who are comfortable working in a production environment, following detailed procedures, operating and cleaning equipment, troubleshooting basic mechanical issues, and working as part of a team.
3rd Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required based on production needs.

• Support the fermentation and production of active biological ingredients
• Learn basic microbiological and fermentation techniques used in the manufacturing process, including preparing and maintaining cultures, inoculating, inactivating, harvesting, and dispensing product
• Operate, clean, and perform minor maintenance on manufacturing equipment such as fermentors, seed isolators, centrifuges, and filtration units
• Use basic mechanical skills to identify equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and complete required production documentation, including process worksheets and log sheets
• Train in Good Manufacturing Practices and follow established GMP requirements
• Assist with reading and reporting test results using scientific instruments
• Perform routine cleaning of production areas and equipment according to established procedures
• Follow all safety requirements, including PPE, biohazard, chemical handling, and other site safety procedures
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and metric conversions
• Obtain required training and operate powered material handling equipment, such as forklifts and tank tugs
• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively across the department
• Perform additional production duties as assigned

Previous experience in any of the following areas can be beneficial:
• Manufacturing or production
• Machine or equipment operation
• Food, beverage, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated production environments
• Warehouse or material handling operations
• Mechanical, maintenance, or technical work
• Laboratory or scientific environments
Laboratory, microbiology, and pharmaceutical experience are not required. Training is provided for the technical processes used in this position.
This is an active, hands on manufacturing position. The work environment may include exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, and biological materials.
The position requires continuous standing and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required based on production needs.
