PEMB Construction Foreman

About the Position

A local construction company in the Phoenix Metro Area is seeking a qualified and experienced PEMB Construction Foreman to oversee all phases of metal building projects.

The PEMB Construction Superintendent manages daily field operations on Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality and contract specifications. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader and liaison between field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all on-site activities for PEMB erection and related trades.

• Enforce compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety plans.

• Interpret and communicate PEMB shop drawings, erection drawings, and specifications.

• Monitor project schedules and coordinate work sequencing to meet milestones.

• Lead daily jobsite meetings and toolbox talks.

• Maintain daily field reports and progress logs.

• Communicate with the Project Manager regarding progress, delays, and resource requirements.

• Oversee material deliveries, storage, handling, and installation of PEMB components.

• Ensure quality control standards are met and address field deficiencies.

• Verify subcontractor scope compliance and coordinate activities between trades.

• Manage inspections and punch list activities through project completion.

• Oversee PEMB steel erection, metal roofing, wall systems, and insulation installation.

• Work safely on the ground, lifts, and elevated surfaces while using required PPE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in PEMB construction.

• At least 2-3 years of experience erecting PEB/metal buildings or metal cladding as a laborer, foreman.

• Strong knowledge of commercial steel erection construction and safety practices.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or construction management education preferred.

• OSHA 30-hour certification required.

• First Aid/CPR, MSHA (if applicable), and lift certifications preferred.

• Valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with customers and project teams.

• Comfortable working in various temperatures and outdoor environments.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
