Machine Operator (Sheet Metal) – 1st Shift

For 75 years Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. We are currently seeking a Machine Operator to join our energetic and skilled Sheet Metal team in our Truck Scale department on 1st Shift.       

This Machine Operator will operate a Pem Setter and Brake Press at RLWS. You would be responsible for performing basic operation of pem-setter, press brake and other sheet metal fabricating equipment such as manual machines, finishing grinders and a hand brake press. In this position, you would properly form and finish the sheet metal products by sanding and deburring the metal material. In this position, you would create product according to the specs on the blueprint for each product, perform set-ups, stock welding and other machining tasks as required. The sheet metal team must also ensure that all tasks are performed in an efficient and safe manner, and must meet product and quality requirements. Other functions as assigned. 

In this position, you would work Monday - Friday during the core hours of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.

Education and Experience  

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• One (1) or more years machine shop experience or machine tool education

Skills

• Blueprint and manufacturing documentation reading skills 
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good hand tool skills
• Good teamwork skills
• Some Computer skills
• Strong machine operating skills

Certificates, licenses, training, or other job-related requirements      

• No current restrictions prohibiting regular lifting of 50 lbs.
