Job Description

The PCS Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of Inverters/PCS by developing and executing strategic sales plans, prospecting, building strong customer relationships, and managing key accounts. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, responding to RFPs, negotiating contracts, and working closely with engineering and product teams to deliver tailored solutions. The Sales Manager ensures compliance with industry regulations and company policies while achieving revenue targets. Strong knowledge of inverters for energy systems technologies, renewable energy market trends, and grid applications is essential. The role requires excellent communication, project management, and technical sales skills to support commercial and utility-scale energy storage deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in utility, C&I, and renewable energy sectors.

  • Manage key accounts and customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs/RFQs.

  • Negotiate commercial terms and close contracts in alignment with company policies.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product manager, project manager and finance teams to deliver customer-specific solutions.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting ESS.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to senior management.

  • Support marketing and industry events to enhance brand visibility and lead generation.

  • Ensure compliance with export controls, FEOC, and ethical standards.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; MBA or technical master’s preferred.

  • 5+ years of sales experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or power systems industries.

  • Strong understanding of energy systems, inverter technologies, applications, and market dynamics in utility sectors.

  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, including RFPs, contract negotiation, and deal closing.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, legal, finance, and operations teams.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting platforms.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including FEOC and export compliance.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in business development and sales specifically within the utility-scale renewable energy project sector incorporating BESS and PCS.

  • Established network and a proven track record of successful engagement with Utilities, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), or Renewable Energy Developers.
