Parts & Warehouse Specialist – Position Overview
Responsible for maintaining accurate parts inventory, processing orders, and supporting service technicians and customers. This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and accurately process customer orders, service orders, vendor returns, core returns, and warranty items.
- Pick, package, and label parts for customer and service orders.
- Process outbound and receive inbound shipments through UPS, FedEx, and various LTL carriers.
- Stock parts and process returned inventory, ensuring items are properly organized and stored.
- Maintain an accurate parts inventory, including cleaning, facing, and organizing products on shelves.
- Perform periodic cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory of consumables and supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Operate a forklift to move and organize parts and materials safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping, vacuuming, and emptying trash and recycling bins.
- Assist with general yard maintenance, including shoveling and salting as needed.
- Assist with opening and closing the department based on the assigned schedule.
- Work closely with service technicians, customers, and team members to resolve inventory and parts-related issues.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and provide support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Previous parts, inventory, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift or obtain forklift operator certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
