Job Overview:

Summary

Responsible for the accurate receiving and distribution of parts within the Parts Supply Room. Maintain efficient inventory levels to ensure essential parts are available when needed without inflating parts inventory

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Organization.
  • Responsible for supporting the daily operation of the maintenance parts room, ensuringtimely,accurate, and controlled issuance, receipt, and handling of maintenance materials and spare parts. 
  • This role supports maintenance execution and planning bymaintainingorganized inventory records,assistingtechnicians, and following established inventory control and safety procedures.
  • The Maintenance Parts Room Clerk works under the direction of the Parts Room Supervisor and plays a critical support role in enabling efficient maintenance work and minimizing equipment downtime caused by material delays.
  • Maintain inventory integrity toeliminateshortages to prevent unnecessary downtime 
  • Organize Parts Room to minimize wait time for maintenance personnel
  • Monitor inventory daily and communicate parts needing to be ordered
  • Ensure the security of the inventory
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Generate Purchase Orders & Requisitions
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills in Excel, Word, SAP, CMMS
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift to cover vacations, LOA’s,etc
  • Must be able tolift upto 50 pounds

Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability toexercisesoundjudgmentand make decisions in a manner that is consistent with the essential job functions.

Work environment is predominantly wet and exposed to a variety of odors as well as presenting with hot and cold temperatures. Safety protection is provided.
