PARTS ASSOCIATE [Full-Time] — San Marcos, CA

Whether it's in the shop or out in the field, our Parts team is the engine behind everything our technicians do. We're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven *Parts Associate* to join our San Marcos location - someone equally comfortable managing inventory and orders at a desk as they are out running parts when the job calls for it.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO:

**This is a hybrid role: you'll handle the day-to-day parts ordering and inventory management that keeps our service operations running smoothly, and you'll also run parts as needed to support technicians in the shop and in the field.

Parts Ordering & Management

• Source, order, and coordinate parts for service managers, technicians, and field crews
• Process parts orders accurately and follow up to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain organized records of parts requests, purchase orders, and vendor communications
• Build and manage relationships with parts vendors and suppliers; obtain competitive pricing and confirm lead times
• Track parts availability and proactively flag shortages or delays that could impact service scheduling
• Receive, verify, and document incoming parts orders; resolve discrepancies with vendors
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation to maintain stock accuracy
• Communicate proactively with service managers regarding order status and any issues affecting job completion

Parts Running

• Deliver parts to technicians in the shop and to mobile service crews throughout the San Marcos area as needed
• Pick up parts from vendors and suppliers when required — accuracy and urgency on every run
• Verify parts accuracy before every delivery — right part, right tech, every time
• Assist with inventory organization, restocking, and parts receiving between orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts area

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a parts, purchasing, or service support role — automotive, commercial truck, or heavy-duty/material handling industry strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of parts sourcing and procurement processes
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Clear, professional communication skills — written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment, both at the counter and on the road
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory or service management software is a plus
• Must pass a background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) review, and pre-employment drug screening
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred:

• Familiarity with truck, diesel, or heavy-duty vehicle parts
• Experience supporting technicians in a shop, mobile, or fleet environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable loading and unloading parts from a vehicle as needed
