Status: Full-Time, Hourly

About the Role

Are you a skilled mechanic who thrives in a hands-on, variety-filled environment? TrailersPlus is looking for a Parts and Service Associate to join our team. In this multi-faceted role, you will lead the charge in keeping our operations running smoothly—handling everything from trailer servicing and parts installations to inventory maintenance and customer consultations.

What You’ll Learn To Do

  • Technical & Repair Work: Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, service work, and custom accessory/parts installations on trailers and store equipment.

  • Customer Engagement: Use a consultative approach during inspections to recommend the best parts and service solutions tailored to each customer’s specific needs.

  • Inventory & Operations: Receive inbound deliveries (trailers, parts, supplies), track inventory, process paperwork, and ensure correct invoicing for all labor and parts.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and tractors (company certifications provided).

  • Facility Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safe facility and yard.

  • Store Support: Assist the Store Management team with warranty resolution, local market lead generation, and trailer sales as needed.

What You Bring

  • Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus 6+ months of related mechanical, service, or assembly experience.

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting ability, comfortable using hand/power tools, and basic math/geometry skills for installations.

  • Customer Focus: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to guide customers through service recommendations.

  • Tech-Savvy: Basic computer and keyboarding skills to navigate online systems and process orders.

  • Safety & Integrity: A strong commitment to working safely, ethically, and maintaining professional standards.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to regularly lift 50–75 lbs, stand, balance, reach, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Licensing: Ability to obtain a state trailer sales license (where required by law).
