Job Overview:

As a Part-Time Customer Service Associate, your empathy and interpersonal skills will help you provide exceptional customer care to NVR homeowners. We’ll provide training and resources so you can successfully evaluate a caller’s situation to determine proper next steps to resolve the homeowner’s concerns. Your eagerness to learn about our homes and processes will help you acclimate quickly to a team committed to high standards. You're motivated by the opportunity to proactively problem solve, address a customer's concerns, and find a resolution that creates a positive outcome.

This position starts at $22.50/hour and will be onsite in our Reston, VA office.

We offer shift flexibility during both our core business hours (8am to 3pm Monday - Friday) and weekends.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete paid training to learn and demonstrate proficiency with standard operating procedures and systems/technology
  • Consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast paced, high volume, call center environment
  • Manage and respond to customer service issues via phone and email in a timely manner
  • Accurately capture and record details of customer service requests in customer relationship management (CRM) system while speaking with callers
  • Communicate directly with field warranty employees to coordinate an action plan for homeowner’s concerns
  • Keep current with knowledge of NVR products and warranty procedures

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 1 - 3 years of professional experience in customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, build rapport, and manage relationships over the phone
  • Highly-driven proactive problem solver
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient typing skills with ability to document call notes during customer interactions
  • Familiarity with the Homebuilding industry or NVR’s products is a plus
  • Maintain a 3 to 5 day work week, working approximately 20-25 hours a week
