About the Role:

The Panela Processing Associate for the 1st Shift plays a critical role in the production and quality assurance of panela, a traditional unrefined whole cane sugar product. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring processing equipment to ensure the efficient transformation of raw sugarcane into high-quality panela blocks. The associate will collaborate closely with the production team to maintain safety standards, optimize workflow, and meet daily production targets. Attention to detail is essential to identify any deviations in product quality and to implement corrective actions promptly. Ultimately, this role contributes to delivering a consistent, premium product that meets both company standards and customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of food processing or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
  • Willingness to work the 1st shift schedule consistently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food production or sugar processing environments.
  • Familiarity with industrial processing equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and food safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor panela processing machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production flow during the 1st shift.
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on raw materials and finished products to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the processing area in compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Record production data accurately and report any equipment malfunctions or production issues to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot processing challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills:

The required skills enable the associate to operate processing machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring that production targets are met without compromising quality. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical for maintaining product integrity and workplace safety.
