Metal Spinners is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Panel Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team in Angola, Indiana. The Panel Lathe Operator manually shapes each part by applying pressure to the material utilizing a combination of upper body strength, lower body leverage and special forming tools; generally, between 6 and 9 ft.

JOB DUITES:
- Perform all safety checks at the start of the shift on all cranes and tools, document as necessary and continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
- Read, understand, and interpret blueprints and job routings.
- Record required information on proper forms relating to machining practices where required.
- Properly operate and interpret various measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, gauges etc.
- Correctly monitor and identify when equipment needs to be sent out for calibration.
- Perform inspections using Quality Assurance procedures and work instructions.
- Work with department supervisor and maintenance to make sure machines are running smoothly.
- Performs housekeeping and other related duties.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Operate cranes, hoists, tables, forklifts, and other devices in a safe manner and complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
- Operate general hand tools.
- Operate shop floor equipment.
- Operate company computer systems.
- Operator lathe machine.
