We are hiring a motivated Garage Door Service and Sales Technician to join our growing team in the Bay Area.

This is a hands-on field role that combines garage door service and repair with customer-focused sales. You will meet with customers in their homes, diagnose garage door issues, explain your findings, provide repair or replacement options, and help customers choose the best solution for their needs.

We are looking for someone who can build trust with customers, confidently communicate recommendations, and close service opportunities while still delivering high-quality technical work.

What You'll Do

Service & Technical

• Diagnose garage door problems and determine the appropriate repair or replacement solution

• Perform garage door repairs, maintenance, and installations

• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues with garage door systems

• Complete work safely, efficiently, and according to company quality standards

• Use standard hand and power tools required for garage door service and installation

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and company vehicle

• Accurately document completed work and customer information

• Coordinate with the office regarding scheduling, parts, job updates, and customer needs

Sales & Customer Experience

• Meet with customers on-site and assess their garage door needs

• Build rapport and establish trust with homeowners

• Clearly explain system issues, recommended repairs, and available solutions

• Prepare and present accurate quotes to customers

• Offer appropriate repair, service, and replacement options based on the customer's needs and system condition

• Educate customers on the value and benefits of recommended services

• Guide customers through their options so they can make an informed decision

• Confidently ask for the business and close service opportunities

• Identify additional service needs while completing customer assessments

• Follow company pricing, quoting, and sales processes

• Deliver a professional customer experience from the initial assessment through job completion

Previous garage door, home-service, construction, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or other field-service experience may translate well into this position.
