Painter – Residential & Commercial

AtWork Personnel is seeking Painters to join a growing residential and commercial painting company serving Georgetown, TX and the surrounding Austin area. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, and are eager to learn. Experienced painters are encouraged to apply, but motivated entry-level candidates looking to start a career in the painting trade are also welcome. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills while working alongside a supportive and professional team.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting on residential and commercial properties.

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming as needed.

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using brush, roller, and spray application techniques.

• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, baseboards, cabinets, and other surfaces with professional-quality results.

• Ensure clean lines, consistent coverage, and high-quality finishes.

• Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, tape, plastic, and masking materials.

• Assist with basic sheetrock repair, mud work, and texture matching as needed.

• Safely climb ladders and work on scaffolding while completing painting projects.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Follow all company safety procedures and job site requirements.

• Work collaboratively with team members while also being able to complete tasks independently when required.

Required Qualifications

• Previous interior and exterior painting experience is preferred; motivated entry-level candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Experience using paint sprayers as well as brush and roller application techniques.

• Comfortable climbing ladders and working on scaffolding.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds throughout the workday.

• Ability to follow instructions and learn painting techniques and safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites.

• Ability to speak, read, and understand basic English to safely follow work instructions and communicate with supervisors and team members.

• Dependable attendance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional residential and/or commercial painting experience.

• Experience with sheetrock repair, mud work, and texture matching.

• Knowledge of paint products, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.

• Experience operating paint sprayers and other professional painting equipment.

• Familiarity with proper finishing techniques and safety practices.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Hours: 25–40 hours per week

• Location: Georgetown, TX and surrounding Austin-area job sites
