We are looking to fill a 3rd shift position in our Assembly Department – as a 3rd shift Paint Technician you will receive a $3/hr shift premium. Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our Paint Technician.

Position Summary:

The function of the Paint Technician is to perform paint operations, support, and processes for production while collaborating with various departments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produce Quality parts and components for firearms. 
  • Must be able to meet deadlines established within the production process.
  • Prepare firearm parts and components for coatings by cleaning, degreasing, blasting, and masking. 
  • Monitor and adjust the curing process to ensure optimal finish and adhesion. 
  • Inspect all finished parts to ensure quality standards are met by inspecting coating thickness, uniformity, and color consistency.
  • Must be able to maintain proper records and documentation. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure safe and proper operation and maintenance of all equipment. 
  • Communicate all issues affecting output and quality to the department lead and supervisor. 
  • Provide corrective action and root cause thought process to all issues pertaining poor quality.
  • Produce parts and complete all tasks assigned by the department lead and supervisor. 
  • Promptly address and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company procedures and policies.
  • Follow any additional tasks directed by the Facilities Manager.

Education, Experience & Minimum Requirements:

  • Required: High School or GED.
  • Required 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Must be able to work 3rd shift hours (11pm-7:15am) and train on 1st shift (7am-3:15pm).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent visual perception to ensure fine detail of quality inspection. 
  • Ability to follow work instructions. 
  • Ability to learn and interpret production drawings. 
  • Must be able to sign and abide by Company’s employee handbook and confidentiality agreement.
  • Required to successfully complete a background check, job physical, and drug screening.
  • Must be able to perform work independently at the expected rate.
