Job Overview:

This position works a 4-10 hour shift Monday through Thursday, 5 AM – 3 PM and is responsible for the evening shift, as well. While not being required to be present on the evening shift, except in extreme circumstances, this individual will be responsible for receiving phone calls or texts if a problem arises on the evening shift. The evening shift leader reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor will be trained by the current Production Manager/Acting QC Manager.

Responsibilities

· Manages and monitors all production employees doing their jobs and redirects when necessary

· Monitors adherence to ALL safety protocols during the shift

· The production schedule will continue to be created by the current Production Manager until the Production Supervisor is able to do it independently.

· Is competent on the computer including using Excel, Microsoft Office suite, Access Database, E-mails, Coulter operations, SAP, and knowledge of QC

· Fully competent in the process of making powdered paint, which includes knowing how an extruder is operated, a milling machine is operated, how weighing and measuring is done , knowing how to operate a mixer.

· Understand how production, customer service and shipping interrelate and function in tandem with each other.

· Daily communicates with management, HR, customer service and shipping to ensure smooth transitions and interactions between departments.

· Monitors proper and sufficient cleaning of machines between product runs.

· Supervises all training of production employees and retains the right to shift employees as needed to maintain efficient output of product and daily maintenance of all or any equipment used in production of Prism’s product.

· Creates a team approach as the production supervisor and verbally acknowledges an employee’s improved or superior performance.

· Resolves disputes between employees using HR’s guidance when necessary.

· Disciplines as needed, keeping HR in this loop to ensure all employee rights are being considered and met while resolving performance issues.

· Monitors and records attendance, time and the employee point system for all production employees.

· Maintains accurate production employee records.

· Compiles production employee records once annually for the annual review process, in which the production supervisor will be actively involved.

Please note that this job description will be used in the annual performance assessment of the Production Supervisor. It is advisable as the Production Supervisor is being trained that this is also used as the guide for training.

Pay Rate commensurate with experience up to $28./hour
