FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Paint Prep for Night Shift with shift differential!
Night shift hours: 4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Monday - Thursday

SUMMARY: Prepares surface of parts and weldments by removing burrs, slag, spatter, rust, and scale. Hangs prepped parts from overhead automated line or racks and washes/dries as necessary prior to the sand blasting and powder coat processes. Required to perform other miscellaneous tasks as supervision deems necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Examines and feels part surface for defects.

· Determines process to use when cleaning and hanging parts.

· Uses work order instructions to determine quantity of parts to process.

· Grinds parts to remove scratches, excess weld material and burrs.

· Uses a variety of hand tools and machines.

· Removes worn abrasive discs, wheels and belts and sharpens chisels and scrapers.

· Moves parts in and moves finished product out of work area, as needed.

· Uses wash bay to clean parts prior to paint.

· Prepares parts for paint by removing blast media and masks any necessary holes prior to paint.
