Paint Lead – 1st Shift – Lucas, KS
Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing is currently seeking a 1st Shift Paint Lead to join our team at our facility in Lucas, KS.
This position works Monday - Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load Paint lines safely to its maximum capacity per the Daily Production Requirements list
- Learn all aspects of prepping unfinished parts for final topcoat
- Downloading painted parts safely & ensuring correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy
- Inspecting painted parts at the unload station for any quality defects
- Appropriately packing painted parts to ensure arrival to customer in good condition
- Versatile employee able to learn all aspects of Paint line duties, Load, Prep, Unload, Material Handling & Painting
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous paint experience helpful
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
