Job Summary

The Packer Labor position is responsible for packing poultry products according to Tyson Foods quality, food safety, and customer specifications. Team members work in a fast-paced production environment where they inspect, package, label, and prepare products for shipment while maintaining production efficiency and adherence to all safety standards. Similar Tyson packing roles involve placing finished products into boxes, verifying product counts, inspecting packaging quality, and maintaining a clean work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pack poultry products into trays, bags, or boxes according to product specifications.
  • Verify correct product counts, weights, and packaging requirements.
  • Inspect products for quality defects and report concerns to supervisors.
  • Apply labels and ensure packaging information is accurate.
  • Transfer packed products to conveyors, racks, or pallets for storage and shipment.
  • Stack and organize boxes safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all Tyson Foods safety, food safety, USDA, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist in other production areas as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management.
