Job Summary

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team to a 2nd Shift and seeking an Experienced Food Packaging Machine Operator with 1–2+ years operating high‑speed packaging equipment in a food manufacturing or food production environment. This role will train on 1st shift, with a planned transition to 2nd shift in mid‑May.

In this position, you will set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot high‑speed form‑fill‑seal (FFS) and zipper‑bag packaging machines, perform film and product changeovers, adjust machine controls, and maintain efficient production line output. You will also oversee and direct line workers during production, changeovers, and cleaning procedures while following strict GMP and food safety standards.

Location:New Hope, MN

Pay: $20.75 – $23.50 per hour (includes 2nd shift differential)

Schedule:Full-Time, Monday–Friday,3:15 PM–11:30 PM (this position may include overtime hours)

What You’ll Do

  • Set up, operate, and monitor high‑speed food packaging machinery
  • Perform film changes, product changeovers, and machine setup according to specifications
  • Conduct quality checks for labels, seals, zipper function, weights, lot codes, and packaging integrity
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues (jams, seal quality, film alignment)
  • Oversee and direct production line workers during operation and sanitation/changeovers
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness following GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Complete production documentation and maintain accurate machine records
  • Perform essential physical tasks: Lift and handle up to 50 lbs, push/pull pallet jacks, climb stairs, and stand/walk up to 8 hours

Minimum Requirements (Must‑Have Experience)

  • 1–2+ years operating packaging machinery in food manufacturing.
  • Hands‑on film and product changeovers
  • Setting machine controls
  • Experience with **form‑fill‑seal **and/or zipper‑seal bag packaging.
  • Familiarity with hoppers
  • Ability to read production specs, complete documentation, and follow GMP
  • Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and consistent, safe work habits.
