What You Can Expect
● Design and conduct experiments according to B-F and Industry standards: tensile
testing, compression, color spectrophotometer, transportation vibration simulator, severe
environment simulations, and other package tests.
● Collects and assists in interpretation of data and provides recommendations for new
product development
● Generate lab reports and facilitates continuous improvement of laboratory testing
success criteria and methods
● Generate packaging specifications for new items where appropriate
● Record, observe and collect data associated with long term research
● Helps maintain 5S workplace
What You Bring to the Table
● Associate or bachelor’s of Science Degree with 1 - 2 years of laboratory experience; or 4 – 6
years of combined education and experience.
● Demonstrated ability to interpret data and provide recommendations
● Basic understanding of packaging materials (glass, PET, corrugated, paper)
● Problem-solving skills with a heavy emphasis placed on the ability to diagnose and solve
problems.
● Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working
relationships with a broad range of business associates.
● Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work with speed and accuracy within
established timeframes.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to perform and adapt in a rapidly changing environment as necessary.
● Ability and willingness to travel 5% of the time.
What Makes You Unique
● Packaging Science and/or Laboratory Background
