Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Packaging Associate to join our manufacturing and logistics team. This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, involving custom pallet building, crating, secure packaging, and preparing freight for shipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with power tools, and the ability to work efficiently to meet daily deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Build custom pallets and crates using drills, saw‑zalls, nail guns, and other tools

• Operate a dual‑beveled gliding miter saw to make accurate wood cuts

• Measure pallet lengths and widths to prepare materials for assembly

• Package custom assemblies securely and efficiently to meet daily shipping deadlines

• Fully crate pallets as needed for safe transport

• Use a strapping machine and compressed‑air nail gun for pallet and crate assembly

• Apply creative carpentry skills to secure products to pallets

• Package extrusions into Reddi‑Crates for kit orders

• Follow “white glove” and “west coast packaging” standards when required

• Use scanners to track and process packaged orders

• Load finished freight onto trucks and take load photos

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S principles

• Communicate with management and ask questions when clarification is needed

Qualifications

• Experience with power tools (drill, saw‑zall, nail gun, strapping tool)

• Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical work for long periods

• Comfortable operating miter saws and other cutting equipment

• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow packaging standards

• Reliable, punctual, and able to meet daily deadlines

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
