Job Description

Principal Duties

• Operate overhead bridge crane to load and unload trucks and move materials to various locations in plant in a safe and effective manner

• Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition

• Follow related safety regulations, company policies, and operating procedures

• Complete necessary inventory control entries. Basic math skills required

• Perform other shop duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of OH crane equipment safety and operating procedures

• Ability to work with limited supervision

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to understand company procedures, accurately record inventory info on receiving paperwork and shop orders, understand safety topics, etc.

• Additional knowledge and skill requirements may vary by assignment

Experience & Education

• Minimum one (1) year of verifiable experience operating overhead bridge cranes via remote or pendant control from floor level.

• Previous experience working with bundles of steel bars and tubes a must

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds, bend, stoop, climb and work safely around equipment.

• FIRST SHIFT Mon-Thurs 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, with available (sometimes mandatory) overtime on Fridays

Salary

• Base pay $18.00-$19.00 per hour depending on experience, plus 10% Night Shift Premium ($19.80-$20.90 hr.)
