Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility Inc. has positions available for Overhaul Technicians at our new Customer Service shop in Lexington, NC. In this role, you will work as part of a team responsible for the overhaul of Siemens train and rail vehicles for our TSSSA customers. This position reports to the CS Production Manager.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Undertake all aspects of overhaul maintenance of Siemens train and rail vehicle components to meet the requirements of the production plan.
  • Remove, inspect, and fit components in accordance with Siemens work instructions.
  • Use CNC lathe equipment when applicable.
  • Use a pressure washer to pre-clean components prior to inspection.
  • Maintain overall workshop husbandry and perform other tasks as required and directed by management or the lead technician.
  • Assist the warehouse team in collecting spares and materials from stores.
  • Safely move train and rail car components using overhead cranes and lifting devices.
  • There is potential for growth within the company, including opportunities for advancement to a supervisory role based on performance and experience.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience in a predominantly mechanical environment with some electrical working knowledge.
  • Experience in accurately documenting actions and operations.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of tool control, torque wrenches, measuring equipment, and appropriate PPE.
  • The ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications.
  • The ability to produce detailed technical reports.
  • Well-demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Railroad or overhaul experience, as well as crane or forklift experience, would set you apart from others.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $60,700 - $71,300. **The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
