Position Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing new business by selling prefabricated window trim kits and millwork products to:
- Residential builders
- General contractors
- Remodelers
- Window dealers
- Commercial customers
This is a hunter-style sales role focused on prospecting, developing relationships, and closing new business rather than managing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new customer relationships.
- Conduct sales calls with contractors, builders, and dealers.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline using a CRM.
- Prepare quotes and negotiate pricing.
- Demonstrate how products improve labor efficiency and reduce installation time.
- Travel throughout the Twin Cities territory to meet customers.
- Meet or exceed sales and revenue goals.
Qualifications
3–7+ years of outside sales experience.
Experience in:- Building materials
- Construction
- Remodeling
- Finish carpentry
- Window or door installation (preferred)
Proven ability to generate and close new business.
Comfortable with cold calling and prospecting.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
CRM experience is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
