Job Description

Job responsibilities:

• Mounts and connects engines, motors, pumps, steering gears, and ventilation systems.
• Aligns propulsion systems and lay out passage holes on bulkheads and decks for shafts and piping.
• Inspects and tests equipment during dock and sea trials.
• Uses machine tools like lathes and boring mills or fabricate replacement parts.

Requirements and Skills:

• Read and intrepret technical drawings and construction specs.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Must have shipyard experience, heavy industrial work, or a related machinist role.
