Job Description:
Provide technical support to the development, production, and integration of x-ray mirrors working in support of the New Generation X-Ray Observatory.
Responsibilities
· Handle optical components with precision and care
· Grind and inspect part edges to meet specifications
· Clean and set up lapping machinery thoroughly
· Maintain lapping equipment to ensure optimal performance
· Collaborate with other technicians to achieve production rate targets
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
· Experience in optical component handling and processing
· Proficiency in operating machinery
· Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
· Strong communication skills for effective teamwork
· Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Remarks:
· The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach to work, be able to follow detailed instructions, and contribute to a collaborative team environment while maintaining high-quality standards in optical component production.
· This position requires on-site presence
Basic Compensation:
$134,100.00-$201,200.
The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
