Large Mechanical Contractor, Bel-Aire Mechanical, LLC, located in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Project Engineer. The Project Engineer is responsible to provide the Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and/or Project Director with assistance required to attain or exceed the project operating income and customer satisfaction goals. They are responsible for supporting the Project Manager in the day to day activities of the job site. These functions include, job costing, estimating, billings, labor and productivity tracking, BIM/CADD coordination, customer relations, scheduling, subcontractor management and purchasing. The position is located at a job site.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining all project documentation including RFI’s, submittals, spec review, subcontracts, change orders and all corresponding logs, etc.
  • Assist in the development and/or updating of project schedule including man loading, equipment lead time, fabrication delivery dates, rentals, etc.
  • Assist with job cost control and billing needs as required
  • Assist with jobsite safety pre-task planning, hazard analysis reviews, jobsite walks, tool box talks, etc.
  • Assist with QA/QC requirements as needed
  • Any other job related duties deemed necessary and/or assigned by the Project Manager

Requirements:

  • Construction Management degree and 3 – 5 years of construction experience required. 10 plus years in the mechanical construction industry with increased level of responsibility may be substituted for degree depending on experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with owners, clients, general contractors, vendors, site supervision and administration.
  • Advanced computer skills focused on Bluebeam, Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
