Job Description:

Consults on coordination of critical, multi-sectional projects involving customers, vendors, and consultants. Keeps management advised of project accomplishments and major problem areas as well as budget and schedule status. A leader who directly manages others is responsible for driving the performance of each direct report and the team as a whole by clarifying expectations, understanding capabilities and motivators, and guiding associate development.

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Product Line Team Leader and Operations Staff to develop and implement a Program Plan based on standard company templates and methods.
  • Coordinate with facilities outside North America (ONA) to execute program deliverables.
  • Program Plan development must also consider the inclusion of "non-Operations" departmental landmarks including but not limited to Product Engineering, Product Line Team, Customer Validation and other significant events, Allison Staff and Operations Management Team reviews.
  • Responsible and accountable to maintain program timing, and quality by working up, down, and across the organization in a collaborative, professional, and catalytic manner.
  • Organizes, schedules, and conducts internal launch and gate reviews highlighting the deliverables that would have a negative effect on the cost, quality, and delivery of the program.
  • Effective utilization of the "Recovery Plan" to maintain program deliverables. Behavioral Expectations: Ability to lead and influence others to deliver a Program on time, to budget, with the defined quality level in exceeding customer expectations.
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing systems with the focus on continuous improvement related to quality and throughput capability of production equipment.
  • Study product and process requirements; analyzing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Implements and actively supports the plant and Quality revamp policies.

Preferred:

  • Familiar with lean manufacturing principles for machining and assembly operations

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technology, or Finance.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years experience in related position

Experience Preferred:

  • 10+ years’ experience in related position.
  • Highly proficient professional role: Requires a strong grasp on the concepts related to the professional field.
  • No direct management responsibilities.
  • Frequently interacts with leadership up direct management chain and direct team members.
  • Occasionally interacts with peers within broader function or across functions.
  • Fully seasoned professional/technical level.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope
  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Individual contributor or may coordinate and supervise activities of non-exempt/hourly workers.
