The Product Line Leader position closely supports the Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center’s (CMC) Integrated RF Products (IRP) area. The position will oversee Operations factory performance for a family of programs within the Electronic Warfare Systems and/or Intelligence, Surveillance Reconnaissance Systems portfolio. This role requires interfacing at all levels of organization from executive key team members to factory personnel. The Product Line Leader will report directly to the IRP Product Line Director and will lead all Forest activity for an assigned family of programs. This role will have direct reports, including Operations Program Managers supporting specific programs.

The Product Line Leader is accountable for effective implementation of all Operations tasks that occur within the assigned product area. These tasks include but are not limited to: program startup and production readiness, capacity and capital planning, staffing, proposals, program follow through, on-time delivery and financial reporting. This role is responsible for developing meaningful relationships with internal program offices and external customers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Program implementation within Forest CMC including on time delivery to contract, product adherence to quality requirements, and achievement of financial targets for cash, and EAC returns.

  • Customer satisfaction through thorough customer focused relationships.

  • Program areas adherence to Integrated Product Development Process (IPDS).

  • Ensure Estimate at Complete (EAC) are prepared and reviewed quarterly for assigned program area.

  • Ensures alignment of overall factory implementation plans to support program plans.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to address issues impacting product quality, material delivery, schedule, or costs.

  • Provide guidance and direction to Factory Operations Manager and Value Stream Team members to plan and implement in most efficient and effective manner.

  • Use metrics to assess factory performance in support of Customer Oriented Results Excellence (CORE) Operating System.

  • Engage with functions to support capital and facilities forecasting needs to support product area.

  • Ensure processes for forecasting staffing needs are followed through and achieve alignment with functional managers.

  • Identify, monitor, and report program risks and opportunities and support program Risk Review Board for new products.

  • Staffing and development of Operations Program Managers for assigned area.

  • Support factory capability analysis of the Sales and Operations Planning.

  • Travel will be required (less than 10%).

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 12 years of related work experience developing program or manufacturing operations.

  • Experience supporting in a Program Leadership / Operations environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and execute manufacturing plans.

  • Be able to lead cross-department project teams or develop across multiple related departments

  • Program Management Certification.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, or related field

Desired Education: Master’s in Engineering, Business or related Technical field and minimum 10 years experience
