Job Overview:
This position manages all aspects of Machine Shop, Production Floor, Purchasing, Planning and Scheduling while ensuring all quality and safety procedures are followed and that business goals are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand, embrace, and disseminate the plant’s direction and goals
- Actively pursue short term and long term strategic and operational objectives
- Coordinate the execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capability
- Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations.
- Maintain optimal raw material and finished goods levels based on current and planned business
- Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
- Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
- Drive continuous improvement throughout all departments
- Supervise, lead, motivate, train, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment
- Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
- Monitor KPI’s to ensure vendors and production personnel are on target for goals and implement corrective action as needed
- Able to disseminate and enforce government requirements as they apply to the supply chain and product ordered by government contracts
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years proven experience in an operations management position
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations
- Lean, Six Sigma understanding and application
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong problem solving/analysis skills
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Strong decision-making skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- The work environment is a blend between office and manufacturing environment
- Noise may be moderate with industrial noise
