The Operations Manager over see plant floor Production Operations. Our Ops Manager will monitor and supervise the production/manufacturing process to ensure smooth operations and optimal outcomes. Manage the organization's operational budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Manage and supervise the workforce, including task allocation, setting deadlines, and monitoring performance.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Plant Manager.
Function
2.1.1 Identify, develop, maintain, and supervise a production force skilled in manufacturing technology and capabilities, for the purpose of meeting production schedules and maximizing quality and efficiencies through proper utilization of available resources.
2.2 Authority
2.2.1 Establish objectives, schedules and priorities in manufacturing, and
review associate accomplishments toward these objectives.
2.2.2 Organize the departments as required to maximize effectiveness.
3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Must develop skilled associates in production management.
3.2 Assist in developing and administering manufacturing budget.
3.3 Assist in identifying quality problems and work with Quality Assurance to take corrective action (take proactive approach).
3.4 Meet quality standards and maintain production standards.
3.5 Continual improvement in production methods and efficiencies per established plan.
3.6 Build a team approach in the production process.
3.7 Maintain machines in operating order through operator PM and good housekeeping.
3.8 Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
3.9 Housekeeping to be maintained to the highest standards.
3.10 Provide cost reduction ideas to meet annual goals.
3.11 Cross-training of associates to provide production flexibility.
3.12 Coordination of production between the shifts to meet customer requirements.
3.13 Administration of plant policies and procedures.
3.14 Maintain high employee morale.
3.15 Develop/improve methods for reworking rejected product.
3.16 Insure lot control system is always updated and working.
3.17 Proven Process Improvement.
3.18 Other duties as assigned.

5 SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
5.1 Direct Relationships
5.1.1 Manages Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Production Associates as assigned.
5.2 Indirect Relationships
5.2.1 Will interface with customers, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, Human Resources, industrial relations, local community officials, and technical and trade organizations.
Requirements
6 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional environment, as well as a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role also is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
7 QUALIFICATIONS
7.1 High School Diploma or equivalent.
7.2 Bachelor’s degree with MS preferred.
7.3 10 years manufacturing experience in automotive industry.
7.4 Technical knowledge in TPS, metal fab, machining, injection molding, stamping, welding, CNC and assembly work.
7.5 Experience with work cells and single piece flow.
7.6 Lean manufacturing methods and experience.
8 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

8.2 This position requires the incumbent to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally and regularly requires walking, sitting, talking, and using hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift, unassisted, up to 32 pounds. The employee will be required to use a computer for extended periods of time and talk on the phone. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
9 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may require extended hours and possible weekend work
10 TRAVEL
Travel to vendor and customer worksites may be required.
