Job Overview:

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering on daily tasks to include but not limited to: complete various design projects, writing work instructions, quality alerts, change requests, tooling/fixture drawings, and other documentation as required. 
  • Work as part of a team to develop and implement solutions to safety, quality, and production challenges. 
  • Update value stream maps, shop floor layouts, and perform time studies. 
  • Participate in kaizen events to eliminate waste and improve processes, assist with lean initiatives, and document workflow and results.
  • Assist with various research, testing, and evaluations 
  • Process documentation, conduct data analysis, and perform manufacturing audits 
  • Assist with process improvement projects tied to manufacturing 
  • Complete projects as assigned by Engineering Manager.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Engineering
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and decision-making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Safety conscious
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with a hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Commitment to full-time (40 hour) Summer/Fall Co-op experience in Sherman, TX from January 2027-August 2027.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided

 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Junior or senior standing
  • Direct experience with AutoCAD/SOLIDWORKS and the development of drawings
  • Six months generalized work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • General Lean Manufacturing knowledge
