The Position

Operations Controller

Job Summary

Oversee and control financials. Support Operations team in decision making. Perform operational and financial analysis for ten sites, including reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Develop, implement and maintain operational financial controls to achieve business goals. Develop annual budgets, including detailed cost modeling. Prepare quarterly and monthly

forecasts. Conduct variance analyses. Prepare monthly Operational reviews. Develop and monitor internal controls to assess potential gaps. Analyze monthly fixed costs. Project evaluation for capital expenditure requests, including cash flow analysis to assess project feasibility. Responsible for fixed assets and physical stock reconciliation with ERP. Extract data from ERP, fill energy tabs, mine & inventory information. Ensure timely and accurate application of policies and procedures, accounting & GAAP rules (IFRS/US). Update unit costs in ERP for inventory valuation. Review monthly plant and mine cost reports. Provide financial data when required. Communicate with internal and external auditors and tax agencies.

REQUIREMENTS: Masters or foreign equivalent in Finance or Accounting, or MBA or foreign equivalent, concentration in Finance or Accounting plus 2 years’ experience in the job offered or as Controller or Accounting Manager for an international manufacturing company. Must have experience overseeing financial results for multiple sites including budgets and forecasts. Must have experience with: variation analysis for volume price mix, P&L preparation, scenario analyses based on changes, cost reduction initiatives, overseeing AR/AP activities, all tax compliance, audit coordination, implementation of internal controls.
