We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused professional to join our on-site fleet support team. This position is based inside a Tidewater Fleet Supply parts room located within a municipal fleet services garage, supporting technicians and fleet personnel with their daily parts needs.


The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in helping customers, and can balance customer service, inventory support, and problem-solving while helping keep critical fleet vehicles operating efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting fleet technicians and personnel with their parts needs. 
  • Identify, source, and recommend parts using catalogs, vendor resources, and computer systems. 
  • Generate invoices and process customer requisitions accurately within the ERP system. 
  • Assist with receiving vendor shipments and entering receiving documents into the ERP system. 
  • Process buyouts and source non-stocked parts as needed. 
  • Respond promptly to in-person, phone, and email inquiries from fleet personnel. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory organization and ensure the parts room and counter area remain clean and professional. 
  • Build strong working relationships with fleet technicians, vendors, and teammates. 
  • Maintain current product knowledge to better support customer needs and improve service. 
  • Occasionally drive a company vehicle to pick up parts or supplies. 
  • Provide support during emergency situations, including occasional after-hours assistance when required. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
