Seeking skilled Wastewater Engineers to join the design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations of our new innovative manufacturing fab and current technology development fab in Boise, ID.

At Micron Technology, Inc., the Facilities Wastewater Engineer collaborates within a team to evaluate operational efficiency. They find cost-effective ways to improve sustaining and manufacturing processes and provide design input on projects. This role includes designing, operating, and troubleshooting innovative semiconductor wastewater treatment plants. These plants cover wastewater reclaim and zero liquid discharge systems. The engineer works with operations and technicians to monitor systems with intelligent tools such as SPC/IOT and SCADA. They make sure systems meet specifications. Strong work ethic and attention to detail are critical. Communication skills are needed to coordinate with other system owners, maintenance crews, and construction trades. The engineer also works with vendors to develop operations and maintenance documentation and assist with project engineering and system changes. They support design engineering for modifications, upgrades, and equipment installation. Using digital tools, data analysis, and AI helps improve engineering performance and decision-making. The job includes using AI-assisted tools to analyze data, create documentation, find process improvements, and speed up problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and resolve issues in advanced semiconductor process wastewater treatment, wastewater reclaim, and zero liquid discharge systems.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to monitor and verify system parameters match specifications using SPC/IOT and SCADA systems.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive operations and maintenance documentation in collaboration with vendors.
• Provide engineering support for system modifications, upgrades, and new installations, employing digital tools, data analytics, and AI technologies to boost performance and decision-making.

Safety & Quality

• Complete necessary safety training and adhere to all safety policies.
• Identify and address unsafe conditions, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Participate in safety audits and proactively seek opportunities to improve safety and reduce potential hazards.
• Maintain and operate equipment according to manufacturer and company guidelines, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Communication & Collaboration

• Foster effective communication with facilities and manufacturing partners to develop solutions and improve critical metrics.
• Collaborate with team members and area leaders to set and achieve personal performance and development goals.
• Actively participate in meetings, providing technical recommendations and addressing equipment/process issues.

Project Management/Planning

• Apply detailed project management methodologies to prioritize and manage projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective coordination with collaborators.
• Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new facilities infrastructure, providing cost and schedule estimates and justifications.

Technical/Data Analysis

• Apply data analysis to make informed decisions, improve performance, and drive cost savings.
• Offer problem-solving assistance for complex challenges, applying established tools and methods.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Proven multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively coordinating efforts across diverse teams.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and demonstrated ability to learn and self-improve continuously.
• Relevant degree or certification in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or related field, with a preference for candidates with three or more years of experience.
