Job Summary/Objective of Job

Valley Truck Parts is seeking a dynamic and results-driven OEM Account Manager to join our team. This 

role is responsible for managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and supporting 

operational excellence across marketing, pricing, inventory, warranty, freight, and technical support 

functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the heavy-duty truck parts aftermarket 

industry and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. 


Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Sales & Account Management 

o Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. 

o Identify sales opportunities and execute strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. 

o Conduct regular customer visits and calls to understand needs and provide solutions. 

o Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals. 

• Marketing 

o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns. 

o Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support brand positioning and 

product development. 

o Represent Valley Truck Parts at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings. 

• Pricing 

o Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to recommend competitive pricing 

strategies. 

o Work with internal teams to ensure pricing aligns with margin goals and customer 

expectations. 

• Inventory Management 

o Monitor customer demand and coordinate with inventory teams to ensure product 

availability. 

o Provide input on stocking strategies based on customer trends and regional needs. 

• Warranty & Returns 

o Manage warranty claims and returns in coordination with the warranty department. 

o Ensure timely resolution of customer issues while maintaining company policies. 

• Technical Support 

o Provide product knowledge and troubleshooting support. 

o Liaise with tech support, warranty, and product teams to resolve complex technical 

issues. 

• Communication & Reporting 

o Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal departments and customers. 

o Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and customer activity updates. 

• Core Management 

o Serve as a key point of contact by delivering necessary information and support to 

customers and internal departments. 

• Professional Representation 

o Represent Valley Truck Parts, Inc. in a professional, ethical, and customer-focused 

manner at all times. 

o Maintain a positive company image through effective communication and relationship

building. 

o Participate in trade shows, customer events, industry meetings, and community 

activities as appropriate. 


Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; 

equivalent experience considered. 

• Minimum of 3-5 years of business development, account management, outside sales, or related 

customer-facing experience. 

• Experience in heavy-duty truck parts, remanufacturing, transportation, industrial equipment, or 

related industries preferred. 

• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills. 

• Ability to interpret customer needs and develop effective business solutions. 

• Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools. 

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts 

and priorities. 

• Ability to travel regularly to customer locations, industry events, and company meetings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during customer visits, trade shows, and 

warehouse walkthroughs. 

• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (e.g., product samples or promotional 

materials). 

• Must be able to travel frequently by car or air, including overnight stays. 

• Use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment. 

• Visual acuity to read printed materials and computer screens. 


Travel 

• Approximately 75% travel to visit key accounts and attend industry events. 

• 25% of work will be conducted in-house at Valley Truck Parts headquarters or a designated 

office location.
