Job Overview:

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - Hand Therapy

The clinic is a private outpatient clinic specializing in hand therapy and upper-extremity care, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. The clinic offers a close-knit, collaborative environment where therapists are supported, patients receive one-on-one care, and culture is a major priority. Team members help one another, share patients when needed, and maintain a strong attitude of growth and learning.

This is a full-time Occupational Therapist role focused on treating upper-extremity and hand therapy patients in a private clinic setting. The right person may be an experienced hand therapist, a CHT, or a licensed OT who is earlier in their hand therapy career and eager to grow with strong mentorship and support.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate and treat patients with shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions
  • Provide one-on-one patient care in 45-minute appointments
  • Build individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs and goals
  • Collaborate with other therapists and team members on shared patient care
  • Document patient progress with paid charting time built into the schedule
  • Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and internal team members
  • Participate in mentorship, training, and ongoing professional development
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture
  • Maintain a high standard of care without double-booking patients

What You Bring

  • Active Occupational Therapy license, or ability to obtain the required state license
  • Interest in hand therapy and upper-extremity care
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills
  • Humble, teachable mindset with a desire to keep learning
  • Team-first approach and willingness to collaborate
  • Professionalism, reliability, and strong follow-through

Nice to Have

  • Certified Hand Therapist credential
  • Prior hand therapy or upper-extremity experience
  • Level II fieldwork placement in hand therapy
  • Private outpatient clinic experience

What Makes Someone Great in This Role

  • You genuinely want to grow in hand therapy, not just find any OT job
  • You value collaboration and are comfortable working closely with a small team
  • You are open to feedback, mentorship, and continued learning
  • You care about both clinical quality and how patients feel when they walk into the clinic
  • You bring confidence without ego and want to be part of a healthy team culture
  • You value a clinic culture where the team helps one another and employee well-being matters

Schedule

  • Monday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:15 AM to 5:15 PM
  • Thursday: 7:15 AM to 5:15 PM
  • Friday: 7:15 AM to 11:30 AM

Benefits

  • 401(k) with matching
  • Continuing education credits
  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance
  • Flexible schedule
  • Paid charting time
  • Built-in breaks, including lunch and morning break
  • No double-booked patient care
  • Strong administrative support from receptionist and office manager
  • Mentorship available
  • $750/year in professional development assistance
  • Annual raises
