Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Duration: 3-Month Contract (W2)
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Position Overview
Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with strong PET (Positron Emission Tomography) experience to support imaging services in a fast-paced clinical environment. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be adaptable, team-oriented, and eager to learn in a collaborative setting.
Schedule will primarily cover full-time hours Wednesday through Saturday, with flexibility based on patient volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
- Conduct patient assessments, IV insertion, patient screening, and education
- Monitor patient safety and respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Follow ALARA radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols
- Maintain imaging rooms, supplies, and radioactive material compliance standards
- Accurately document patient information and imaging records
- Identify and escalate critical imaging findings when necessary
- Support patient care across assigned imaging areas and off-site locations as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- Texas Medical Board (TMB) CMRT license
- CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine/PET imaging experience
(Recent graduates with clinical experience may be considered)
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- PET certification
- ACLS, PALS, or PEARS certifications
- Additional Nuclear Medicine or imaging experience
