Team Overview

On Prysmian’s Total Rewards team, we go beyond administering benefits—we design meaningful, employee‑centered experiences that support people at every stage of life. As part of the largest region in the company, our team plays a critical role in shaping how benefits, wellness, and leave programs are delivered across North America.

Reporting to the Benefits & Retirement Director, North America, the Benefits Manager is a highly visible, hands‑on role at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution. You will manage and evolve our health and welfare programs, advance wellness initiatives, strengthen vendor partnerships, and leverage data‑driven insights to inform decisions—all while ensuring compliance in a complex and constantly changing regulatory environment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment, enjoys solving problems, and brings both operational excellence and analytical rigor to benefits management.

Role Responsibilities:

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day administration of health and welfare plans, wellness programs, and voluntary benefits for over 8,000 employees

  • Main point of contact for escalations from HR Business partners across the US

  • Lead end-to-end annual enrollment strategy and execution

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through audits, controls, and continuous process improvements

Turn Data into Insight

  • Leverage advanced Excel capabilities to analyze utilization, claims, and cost trends

  • Develop clear, actionable reports and dashboards that inform and influence leadership decisions

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, risk mitigation, and program enhancement

Lead Leave of Absence Expertise

  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on FMLA, ADA, state leave programs, and policies

  • Partner with HR and external vendors to ensure seamless administration and a positive employee experience

  • Manage escalations and complex cases with a balanced, compliance-driven and employee-focused approach

Strengthen Vendor Partnerships

  • Manage and optimize relationships with carriers, TPAs, and consultants

  • Hold vendors accountable to performance standards and service expectations

  • Support renewals, implementations, and ongoing enhancements to improve delivery and value

Ensure Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other regulations

  • Support audits, regulatory reporting (Form 5500), and required disclosures

  • Stay ahead of legislative changes and proactively mitigate organizational risk

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in Benefits Administration.

  • Strong understanding of U.S. benefits compliance requirements.

  • Proven experience managing self‑insured (self‑funded) medical and dental plans.

  • Strong expertise in leave of absence regulations (FMLA, ADA, state programs).

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, trend analysis).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a large, multi‑state, or manufacturing organization.

  • Strong analytical storytelling skills—able to influence with data, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Experience improving or redesigning benefits processes or workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to HR and business leaders.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships across HR, Total Rewards, and the business.

  • Experience working with vendors, TPAs, and HRIS platforms

  • High attention to detail with a compliance‑focused mindset.
