Quality Control Inspector

$30-$33/hr DOE
We're working with a growing manufacturing company in Lafayette that is looking to add a Quality Control Inspector to their team. This is a hands-on inspection role in a fabrication and manufacturing environment. We're looking for someone who can read blueprints, use precision measuring equipment, and help ensure parts and assemblies meet customer and quality requirements.
If you've worked in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, aerospace, pressure vessels, or industrial equipment and have a strong eye for detail, we'd like to talk with you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, scales, and other precision measuring equipment
- Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
- Perform visual inspections and basic non-destructive testing activities
- Identify non-conforming parts and work with production teams to resolve quality issues
- Support continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process
- Assist with audits, quality investigations, and corrective actions as needed
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools
- Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and quality documentation
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with production, engineering, and quality teams
- Basic math skills including fractions and measurements
- Reliable attendance and a strong attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- NDT experience including Visual Testing (VT) or Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Welding, fabrication, pressure vessel, structural steel, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems
- Previous Level II NDT certifications are a plus but not required
