Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join a growing team in the Russellville area. This position is responsible for inspecting materials and components using non-destructive testing methods to ensure quality and safety standards are met without causing damage.
Responsibilities
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and visual inspection
- Evaluate materials, welds, and components for defects or inconsistencies
- Interpret test results and document findings accurately
- Interpret and evaluate test results to determine the integrity and quality of materials.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of testing procedures and findings.
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to discuss testing requirements and results.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing testing in various environments.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with NDT technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in NDT preferred.
- Certification in at least one NDT method (e.g., Level I, II, or III) is required.
- Strong understanding of NDT principles and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using NDT equipment and software.
